How I Felt After Leaving.

When I first started contemplating leaving my retail job, I was nervous and scared. I could not for the life of me, give my 2-weeks notice. No one knew at work at all about me wanting to leave. Eventually, I was basically forced to give my 2-weeks notice as our move date was 2 weeks and 3 days later.

I was frightened because I worked my @$$ off for this company for 5-years to get to where I was. My boss I had inherited (again due to a move of personnel) actually liked me, and heck- I actually liked her! We were getting along GREAT, which was such a welcome change! She was the one that actually changed the perception of me with our District Manager, because she saw how hard working I was and how much our staff looked up to me and what I did. She wasn't seeing all the crap my old boss fed to her. It was such an amazing feeling, acceptance. Never did I want to let anyone down because I put so much into the store and they put so much into me.

Also, I was nervous about not having any income for a at least 3 weeks. We were moving cross country in a beat down tiny car. All 3 of us driving 16 hours day 1 and 10 hours the 2nd leg of our journey. Knowing we were living off of $500 for that small amount of time was scary! I got 1 last paycheck of my last days, Vacation & Sick time payouts. So, that helped give us another $800. But luckily, when we made it to Florida, my mom was willing to help for a while. Mike, thankfully found a (not so great) job for a (terrible, inconsiderate, bossy) boss. So, we weren't terribly off for awhile. But, not knowing where the money was going to come from was so nerve racking and heart stopping at times.

The scariest part was knowing when I go back to work in 2020, finding a full-time management position was going to be HARD to come by since I will have a huge gap between 2017 and 2020 of no work. I was trying work from home things like Amazon Testing and others, but there was never anything substantial or even reliable to create residual income. Knowing we need two incomes to live here with housing so freaking expensive, I needed to do something. So, here we are!

I created my Life & Business Coaching Firm in April 2018. So blessed to have discovered that as something I could do from home! In May 2018, I joined a Network Marketing Company because I absolutely fell in love with their products. In November 2018, I joined another company for the exact same reason! Now, August 2019, I start this blog & Facebook Page for all of you to hang out with me on this journey and learn, you are not alone and there are real ways to get out of that retail junk! You too can do this!!
